Privacy Policy

SeeMore (“we”, “us”), operated by Tobias Morgenstern, helps you forecast sunrise and sunset quality, find viewing spots, and share sky feedback. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information — name (if provided), email address, user ID, and authentication data when you create an account (including Sign in with Apple, if you choose it).
• Precise location — when you allow it, used for forecasts, compass, nearby spots, distance checks, and sky feedback context.
• Photos & videos — sky photos you choose to submit as feedback, and photos you attach when adding spots.
• User content — spot names, notes, ratings, and other content you create in the app.
• Motion & orientation — device motion when needed to help capture vertical sky photos.
• App activity — spots you save, forecasts you view, feedback you submit, and status / XP related to using the app.
• Device notifications — if enabled, we schedule local reminders about qualifying sunrises and sunsets.

How we use information

• Provide forecasts, compass, map spots, and account features
• Improve quality scoring with sky feedback you submit
• Show community spots according to your status tier
• Send optional event reminders you configure
• Protect the service and comply with legal obligations

Tracking & advertising

We do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not sell your personal information.

Data storage & processors

Account and community data are stored using Supabase. Weather and related inputs used for scoring may be requested from third-party weather APIs (such as Open-Meteo) based on the location you select. Data may be processed in the regions where those providers operate.

Your choices

• You can deny or revoke location, camera, photos, motion, and notification permissions in iOS Settings → SeeMore.
• You can sign out at any time in SeeMore Settings.
• You can delete your account in SeeMore Settings, which removes your account data from our systems subject to ordinary backup retention.

Children

SeeMore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of SeeMore after updates means you accept the revised policy.
